THE USE OF “DIRECTED WRITING ACTIVITY”
STRATEGY TO ENHANCE THE STUDENTS’ SKILL
IN WRITING RECOUNT TEXTS
One of the problems that arise in learning to write in
English is a skill that is still low. Referring to a preliminary study, the
authors obtain the following facts: (1) a person's motivation in writing is
still low as a complicated skill to learn; (2) lack of confidence in writing
texts because of feeling uncomfortable to write in English.
This book is designed to improve students' skills in
writing recount texts. Through the strategy of "Guided Writing
Activities", this strategy was chosen because it can encourage someone to
be more actively involved in writing activities so that they improve their
skills.
This book contains how to apply this strategy
especially in the field of education and supported. Especially in learning
English can be a reference for teachers to be able to learn and apply
strategies in daily teaching and learning activities.
